What materials can I choose from?

Standard flag material: This classic 110 gsm flag canvas has a slight glossy look you expect from flags. This material is perfect for advertising on a busy shopping street. Air mesh material: This 120 gsm canvas has an extra strong structure and is perforated with tiny holes. The holes make sure the flag can resist strong winds and a longer life is guaranteed. This material is best used in open areas or beaches.

What is the lifespan of Aluminium Feather Flag?

The lifespan of the flag is approx. 3 to 4 months while using it intensively . You can expand the lifespan by bringing the flags inside in harsh weather.

What is the difference between the various pedestals and accessories, and how do they work?

A high-quality plastic screw base: Comes with a rotating pin to keep your beach flag turning in all wind conditions. Ideal for use in soft ground, sand, grass, or clay and can be used with beachflags of any size or type Metal ground spike: The metal ground spike is ideal to place your beach flag outdoors on soft but firm ground, such as soil. The metal ground spike is best suited for smaller beachflags. For larger beachflags, we advise using the parasol base + rotator. Cross Foot (indoor): The crossfoot is suitable for flat surfaces. The metal frame and 4 legs make sure it's extra steady. The crossfoot measures 85cm x 85cm and is 20cm high. Cross Foot + Waterbag: Provides reinforcement of your crossfoot base in light winds. Just fill it with water and add it to your cross foot base, and you're ready to take your beach flag outside! Parasol Base + Rotator: The watertank rotator is designed to be filled with water and sand for extra stability on outdoor terrain.

Which production techniques do we use?

Sublimation: With this technique, the printing is carried out at a high temperature, where the eco-friendly water based ink seeps directly into the material. The material remains flexible and is waterproof.

How are the beach flags finished?

The beach flags are always finished on the left side with a tunnel. On the top of the tunnel is an extra solid part so the beach flag itself does not get damaged by the flagpole.

How do the colours come out in the print?

The colours printed on flag fabrics will never be as sharp as they are on your screen, especially the colour black. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

How can I set up my Aluminium Feather Flag in the best way?

For the best set-up of your Aluminium Feather Flag we recommend pulling your flag as far as possible through the flag tunnel so it's as tightly pulled as possible. This way your flag will not get creased and won't damage easily. Please follow up video guide above for more detailed guidance.

Design guidelines

We recommend using our templates and guides for preparing your print-ready PDF.

You can download our guides and templates in the template section. Remember to delete the template layers before exporting your design to PDF.

If you already have a design, no worries; we accept other file formats, including JPEG, PNG, or EPS.

For photographic content, high-resolution JPEGs are recommended, preferably without compression. For graphics or text-based content, we recommend print-ready, vector-based PDFs. For content that is a combination of graphics and photography, we suggest using print-ready PDFs to ensure the best quality.

Use CMYK as the colour mode.

Prepare your files using CMYK as the colour mode, not RGB. Use colourmode FOGRA39 (ISO Coated v2). If you are unsure of the colour mode of your file, don't worry we can always convert this for you. Keep in mind this can cause the colours to differ from the original file.

Use the right values for full colour black.

Please note: The material used for a flag is very absorbent therefore the colour can come out lighter than expected. This is especially the case with black. For rich black please use (Cyan 60, Magenta 40, Yellow 40 & Black 100).

Resolution of at least 150 dpi.

Make sure the resolution of the images and graphics in your artwork are at least 150 dpi.

Add 5 mm bleed and keep 40 mm safety margin

During production, there might be a slight cut deviation. To avoid any issues, we recommend the following:

Add a 5 mm bleed around all edges of your design.
Keep important elements 40 mm away from the edge or folding lines.

Text and fonts specifications (Min. font size is 20 pt)

For this product, the minimum font size is 20 pt. To avoid any issues, we recommend the following:

Fonts must be embedded or outlined.
If your design contains small black text, make sure it is 100 % black (Cyan: 0 Magenta: 0 Yellow: 0 Black: 100).

Note that we don't check spelling or typographical errors.

Lines should be at least 3 pt.

The lines should be at least 3 pt.

Check your artwork for overprint.

Make sure no elements in your artwork are set on overprint unless you want this effect in your design. You can read more about overprint in our Help Centre.

Can I wash my flag?

Flags can get dirty from sand, dust, salt, or mud, which can impact their appearance. No need to worry, you can safely pop your flag into the washing machine! We advise washing with cold water, and highly recommend allowing it to air dry. This is also important to remember if the flag has been in the rain. Make sure to wait for it to dry before placing it in storage.

Weather conditions

While the materials are weather-resistant, they do have limits. Heavy rain or winds should prompt temporary indoor placement to maintain appearance. Short showers are fine, but prolonged exposure will have an impact. To keep your flag in top condition, we recommend shielding it from harsh weather conditions.
